PUSHING TO THE FINISH LINE!

***

Cliff and I have lived with Feiga Shamis for four years now. It’s time to get her story out to the world. We are so close. Many of you have already been so generous. But we still need your help. Here’s what you can do:

HELP BUILD OUR AUDIENCE

  • Share our trailer. Copy the link and post it on Facebook, or send the link in an email to anyone you think might be interested.
  • Ask your friends, family, fellow congregants, book club members, anyone you can think of to visit our new crowdfunding campaign at Jewcer and make a nominal donation. We’re suggesting small amounts such as $5, $8, $10, or $18. Lots of small donations will make a difference.
  • Ask the same folks to like us on Facebook
  • Share this newsletter with them!

HELP US FIND SPONSORS AND UNDERWRITERS

We’re looking for sponsors to help us develop our screening kits — kits that will share this forgotten piece of history with communities and organizations around the country. Let us know if you’ve got ideas.

We need underwriters for our PBS broadcast. My Dear Children has the potential to reach at least three million viewers and likely many more with our yearlong community screening campaign. PBS allows a minute’s worth of underwriting at the top and the bottom of the program. Know anyone who might like the exposure? Please put us in touch with them. Local businesses in the South Florida area are also strong contenders.

HOST A HOUSE PARTY

We love to talk about My Dear Children and show excerpts. Invite your friends. We’d love to come. We guarantee your friends will be moved.

INVITE US TO SPEAK

If we can’t get to you, we can always Skype in and tell your group or organization about My Dear Children.

We are very excited about our partnership with WPBT2 South Florida PBS. WPBT2 hopes to launch My Dear Children in January and release it nationally through American Public Television on April 1, 2018. To meet that deadline, we must be done by December 1st.

In January 2018, we will begin entering Jewish film festivals and launch a yearlong community screening campaign with the goal of getting the film out to JCC’s, synagogues, museums, and universities around the country. We will release information soon about how to be part of this screening campaign.
